Rolex Daytona 6265 'Big Red'

The Rolex Daytona 6265 is one of my favourite vintage chronographs and I had the pleasure to be able to service this and restore the movement.

Rolex Submariner 5513

This Rolex Subariner reference 5513 was in rough shape. Externally, it looked good but internally there were issues. The seating for the escape wheel was not sitting upright, which will adversely affect timekeeping and performance. the movement was also loose in the case, which can cause dial and movement damage. There was also rust present on some wheels.

Rolex GMT 1675

There is patina, and then there is damage. This original insert had been destroyed by chemical exposure and completely removed the blue section. The customer chose a more modern insert replacement and the movement was serviced.

Omega Speedmaster 2998-1

Sometimes watches arrive and need complete restorations. This rare, vintage Speedmaster was one of those watches. All the screw heads were chewed up and needed polishing. The posts for minute and setting wheels were worn so I bored them out and turned up new customs posts. We also needed to install two new custom bushings in the plates for the barrel.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual

The Rolex Oyster Perpetual needed extensive repair. The manipulate was so badly worn that a new mains plate was sourced. The mainspring was completely bent out of shape and it was a generally tired watch movement. A complete service restoration was undertaken.
